Idahoans whose unclaimed estates have been deposited in the Public School Permanent Endowment Fund since 1996. The Idaho Constitution requires that any estate which is unclaimed, because the heirs are unknown or cannot be located, be liquidated and the balance transferred to the Fund. The legacies of these deceased individuals endure in perpetuity, supporting Idaho public schools.
