Idahoans whose unclaimed estates have been deposited in the Public School Permanent Endowment Fund since 1996. The Idaho Constitution (Article IX, Section 4) requires that any unclaimed estate, whose heirs are unknown or cannot be located, be liquidated and the balance transferred to the Fund. The legacies of these deceased individuals endure in perpetuity, supporting Idaho public schools.
